How do YOU think quality journalism should be paid for?

 

How do YOU think quality journalism should be paid for?

1) Advertising. Fair answer. You exchange your time spent watching the ads for the journalism.

2) Paid Subscriptions. Fair answer. (although it does imply that low income people don't have access to quality journalism)

3) Donations. Fair answer. Some consumers of the journalism pay so that those who can't or won't pay don't have to.

4) Rich people should provide journalism free. Hmm! Consider what kind of journalism THAT gets.

5) The government. When you agree with the government, that's great, but do you really want Trump's regime supplying the news?

6) It should be free, nobody should pay for it. That's not a real world answer. SOMEBODY is picking up the tab, and if you don't know who is paying, that's even worse.
